City, town and village funding in Andrew Cuomo's 2019-20 budget

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has proposed eliminating Aid to Municipalities funding (state money that can be used by local governments however they see fit) to 91 percent of towns and villages in New York as part of his 2019-20 budget proposal. Here's a look at what each city, town and village received in the current budget year and what they would receive under Cuomo's proposal. Under Cuomo's plan, towns and villages that rely on the funding for less than 2 percent of their budget would see it eliminated. The state budget is due April 1.
